1. Begin with the application

2. Share the artwork early
Send the logo or visual reference with preferred colors. The size of small text, number of colors and repeat pattern can affect which decoration methods are suitable. If the artwork is not final, a sketch or reference can still help frame the discussion.
3. Define material, width and finish
Fabric feel, appearance and the desired decoration should be considered together. Give a preferred width and length if you have one. Otherwise, explain the intended use and ask which options fit it.
4. Decide on the attachment
Identify the object the lanyard will carry and provide a photo or dimensions if possible. A clip, ring, badge holder or other fitting should suit that object and the way it will be used.
5. Prepare a useful quotation brief
